MARQUESAS ISLANDS FRENCH POLYNESIA OLD HAND CARVED WOOD FIGURE. MEASURES APPROX 5 7/8″ HIGH X 1 3/4″ WIDE FRONT VIEW WIDEST POINT, APPOX 2″ SIDE VIEW WIDEST POINT. GOOD EXAMPLE WITH AGE APPROPRIATE WEAR WHICH IS CONSISTANT WITH THAT OF THE AGE AND HISTORY OF FIGURE. BEAUTIFUL NATURAL WOOD GRAIN DESIGN.  FIGURE IS INCISED WITH DEEPLY CARVED TRIBAL MARKINGS AND DETAILS.
