Lot of 3 Vintage Solomon Island Samoan War Clubs Pacific Polynesian

Description

Lot of three vintage war clubs.  Based upon my research these appear closest to what I’ve
seen of Samoan or Solomon Island Clubs.
*The camera flash is picking up more detail than what is visible to the naked eye.
– Club with curved handle and pointed triangular shaped end, this one is aproximately 19.5 inches
long and 3.1/4 inches across the widest point.  It has geometric shapes,
concentric squares and
triangular notches or zig zag designs.  There are faint marks on the handle, I kept expecting to be
able to read them, but they appear random lines,  A
t the very end of handle
there is a very faint curved line,
my imagination tells me it is a boat. There appears to be two sections
with some scratches or cuts into the sides,
one at the corner of the widest point.
– Club that is aproximately 15 inches long and 2.7/8 at the widest part.   With handle and triangular shaped
blade end, the very tip of the point is broken off, it is decorated with a geometric pattern with black + shaped
and chevron shaped designs.
– The light weight smallest club measures approximately 11.7/8 long and 3.5 at the widest point.  It has
zig zag and chevron shaped notching with some white paint or powder remnants in the design.
These are being sold “as found” to my untrained eye they appear to be in very good condition with
minor age and wear.
